KC sweeps Texas College

The KIlgore College softball team got back on the winning track by sweeping Texas College in a double header Feb. 19 at the Ballpark at KC Commons.

In the first game, KC defeated TC, 5-0.  In the finale, KC defeated TC 10-2 in five innings.  The Rangers improve to 4-6 on the season.

KC pitcher Katy Worrell led KC past Texas College, 5-0, Feb. 19 at the Ballpark at KC Commons.

The Rangers got on the board in the first inning first when Hailey Nash drove in one run on a double.

Worrell earned the victory, going seven innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out seven and walking zero.

Tori Tovar led KC with two hits in four at bats.

KC sails to easy victory over Texas College, 10-2

The Kilgore College Rangers defeated Texas College, 10-2, in five innings Feb. 19 at the Ballpark at KC Commons.  

KC got on the scoreboard first with a sacrifice fly by Hailey Nash to score Tori Tovar.

KC tallied four runs in the second inning versus TC with walks by Nash and Taylor Christopher and a single by Shelby Edwards.

Devyn Power earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for KC, surrendering only two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out four and walking zero.

KC had nine hits in the game with Tovar and Edwards collecting two hits each.
