KC runs past Texas A&T, 70-14

KILGORE, TX -- The Kilgore College Rangers extended a sizable lead in the second half against Texas A&T Sept. 28 -- so much so that both coaches agreed to shorten the fourth quarter to six minutes.

At the time the decision was made to shorten the fourth quarter, KC was ahead of the Drillers, 63-14.  The Rangers scored once more with 1:42 left on a run by Chauncey Martin to make the final score 70-14.

KC improves to 5-1 overall.  They are 3-1 in Region XIV play.

The Rangers resume conference play, traveling Oct. 5 to face Trinity Valley Community College.  Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
