KC men victorious over LSC-Tomball, 97-69

KILGORE, TX --  It took a few minutes to get going, but the Kilgore College men's basketball team defeated the Lone Star College-Tomball Timberwolves, 97-69, in Masters Gymnasium Nov. 15 in the first day of the Ranger Classic.

KC struggled early and only led by 11 points at halftime, 46-35, but came out stronger in the second half by outscoring the Timberwolves, 51-34.

The Rangers were led by Tyron McMillian with 22 points, also grabbing six rebounds.  McMillian was 7-of-7 from the field with a three-pointer.  His only miss was one free throw (7-of-8).

KC's Michael Thomas also scored 22 points (8-of-11), making all six of his three-point attempts.

Rodrigue Andela earned another double-double for the Rangers with 12 points and 12 rebounds.  Andela was perfect in the field (6-of-6) and free throws (2-of-2).

Rounding out the scoring was Montrell Horsey with 8, Jeremy LeFort and Justin Davis each with 6, Cameron Gooden with 5, Assane Ndiaye with 4, Brendon Hoberecht and D'Rell Roberts with 3 and Tysen Banks and Stephan Morris with 2 points.

Tomball was led in scoring by Ravinell Lee with 24 points and Dontavious Elder with 12 points.

With the win, KC improves to 4-1.

KC will play Cedar Valley College in the last game of the Ranger Classic at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16.
