KC men improve to 3-1 with win over NW State JV

TYLER, TX --  Five Kilgore College players scored in double figures Nov. 12 in a victory over Northwestern State (La.) JV, 91-59, in the TJC Classic.

KC freshman guard Davon Newton led all scorers with 18 points, almost earning a double-double with 9 rebounds.

Sophomores C.B. Diallo and Ndene Gueye scored 17 points each for the Rangers.  Gueye, who signed a letter of intent this week to play next season for St. Bonaventure University, earned a double-double by adding 10 rebounds.

KC freshman Xavier lewis was also in double figures, scoring 10 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.

With the win, the KC men improve to 3-1 on the season and will travel Tuesday, Nov. 15, to play Hill College.  Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at Hillsboro Gymnasium.

The Hill College Rebels are 4-1 on the season with its only loss coming from Southern University-Shreveport, 68-63, on Nov. 4.

The Rebels were ranked 14th nationally in the NJCAA pre-season poll.
