KILGORE, TX -- The Kilgore College men's basketball team ended 2016 on a positive note thanks to a dominant second half with a decisive 86-56 victory over CYM Prep.
The Rangers were up 42-33 at halftime, but came out of the locker room on a mission, outscoring CYM Prep 44-23 in the second half.
Despite only playing 17 minutes, KC sophomore Ndene Gueye earned his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Freshman guard Chad Bowie also scored 12 points along with five assists.
KC guard Tre Evans was the game's leading scorer with 16 points, four assists and two steals.
With the win, KC improves to 9-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play. KC's next game is 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, versus Houston Community College.
The Rangers resume conference play 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at home versus Blinn College.
