KILGORE, TX -- The KIlgore College men rattled off 45 points in the second half Nov. 20 to defeat the Southern Arkansas University Tech Rockets, 74-63, at Masters Gymnasium.
KC (6-2) and SAU (5-2) were tied at 29 going into halftime, but KC dialed up the pressure by shooting 63.6 percent from the field in the second half.
Jordyn Owens came off the bench for the Rangers and was KC's leading scorer with 19 points (3-of-3 from the three point line and 8-of-9 from the free throw line).
Rodrigue Tha Andela also came off the bench, scoring 14 points and Michael Asante and Demiere Brown each scored 13 points for the Rangers.
Asante added 10 rebounds to earn a double-double.
The game was somewhat of a revenge matchup as KC was defeated -- one of KC's only two losses -- by the Rockets earlier in the season on the road, 76-64.
SAU had two players in double figures with William Bynum scoring 14 points and Jaland Mitchell scoring 11 for the Rockets.
KC's next game is set for 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at home versus CYM Prep.
