KC men defeat Houston Community College, 92-45

KILGORE, TX -- The Kilgore College Rangers opened up the post-Christmas stretch of the season Dec. 29 with a 92-45 win over the Houston Community College Eagles.

The Rangers (11-2, 3-0) extend their winning-streak to eight games.

KC had five players in double figures with Darrian Grays and Jordyn Owens scoring 15 points each.

Demiere Brown, Assane Ndiaye and Rodrigue Tha Andela each scored 13 points.  Brown and Ndiaye had eight rebounds apiece and Andela grabbed nine boards.

Ndiaye was 7-of-9 from the free throw line.

KC held HCC to a 26 percent shooting percentage (17-of-65).

The Rangers will wrap up non-conference play Wednesday, Jan. 2, versus Louisiana Christian Prep.  Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. in Masters Gymnasium.

Conference play will resume Monday, Jan. 7, as the Rangers will face Lamar State College-Port Arthur at 4 p.m. in Kilgore.
