KC men defeat East Texas Flight, 101-62

KILGORE, TX -- The Kilgore College men handily defeated the East Texas Flight in a preparation game for KC's conference-opener this week versus Angelina College.

KC outscored the Flight 54-21 in the first half en route to a 101-62 victory.

The Rangers had four players in double figures and didn't miss many shots with an impressive 58 percent shooting percentage from the field.

Demiere Brown and James Conteh each scored 16 points for KC while Chad Bowie scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds (5 defensively).

KC's Davon Newton was 5-of-10 for 10 points and Darrian Grays scored all of his points with three-pointers (3-of-6 for nine points).

The Flight had three players in double figures with Blake Turner leading the way with 21 points.  John Jackson scored 15 and Roman Tucker scored 13 points for the Flight.

The Rangers (7-1) will open up conference play 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at home against the Roadrunners (6-2).
