KC improves to 2-0 in conference play with 57-43 win over Coastal Bend

KILGORE, TX -- The Rangers entered the Thanksgiving break with a 2-0 record in Region XIV play with a 57-43 win against Coastal Bend College at Masters Gymnasium Nov. 25.

Kilgore had three players in double figures with Jonathan Milligan leading the way with 17 points.  Michael Thomas earned a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Alassane Kah also scored 10 points and got 8 boards.

KC led the entire game.  After leading Coastal Bend 30-18 at the half, the closest the Cougars got to the Rangers in the second half was six points.

Coastal Bend had two players in double figures, Tramonte Stewart with 11 and Tacorrus Mattox with 10.

KC sits at 7-2 overall.  With the loss, Coastal Bend drops to 5-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

The Rangers will play a double-header paired with the Lady Rangers on Saturday, Nov. 29, at Masters Gymnasium against East Texas Flight.  The women will tip off at 4 p.m., followed by the men at 6 p.m.
