KC hits buzzer-beater to defeat No. 14 Hill College

HILLSBORO, TX -- Kilgore College sophomore Cheikh Fall nailed a long three pointer with half a second left to give the Rangers a 66-63 victory over the No. 14 Hill College Rebels, 66-63, at Hill College Gymnasium.

Fall dominated on the boards in the game, grabbing 12 rebounds and scoring 7 points.

KC was led in scoring by Jamar Sandifer with 14 points.  Tre Evans was also in double figures for the Rangers with 10 points.

Freshman guard Chad Bowie scored 9 points for the Rangers along with freshmen Samory Gueye and Xavier Lewis each scoring 8 points.

For the Rebels, two players were in double figures with Davion Turner and Jacques Lukusa each scoring 13 points.

With the win, KC improves to 4-1 on the season.  Hill College sits at 4-2.

KC CLASSIC THIS WEEKEND AT MASTERS GYMNASIUM

The Rangers will host the KC Classic this weekend in Masters Gymnasium featuring four matchups in men’s basketball.

The classic will begin Friday, Nov. 18, with a 4 p.m. tipoff of Tyler Junior College versus Cedar Valley College, followed by a 6 p.m. matchup of the KC men vs. Lone Star College-Tomball.

Saturday will feature a 2 p.m. game, TJC versus LSC-Tomball, followed by a 4 p.m. tipoff of the KC men vs. CVC.
