KC edges Bossier Parish, 68-65; Milligan scores season-high 35 points

KILGORE, TX -- Kilgore College's Jonathan Milligan lit up the scoreboard with 35 points to help the Rangers slip past a three-point-happy Bossier Parish Community College team Jan. 14.

With the 68-65 win over the Cavaliers, KC evens up its Region XIV record to 4-4.

Milligan was 5-of-10 from three point land and was 14-of-15 from the free throw line including two huge free throws at the end to put the Rangers up by three points.

Jaleel Wheeler was also in double figures for KC with 16 points. Bakari Copeland finished with 6 points and 11 rebounds for the Rangers.

Chantz Chambers hit six three-pointers to lead Bossier Parish (4-13, 1-7) with 27 points.

KC will travel to Athens Saturday, Jan. 17, to face the Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.  TVCC is tied for first place in the Region XIV North Zone with Navarro College, sitting at 6-2 in conference play.
