Jacksonville escapes with win over Lady Rangers, 66-64

JACKSONVILLE, TX -- Kilgore College's Danielle Meador stole a pass from Jacksonville College with less than a second left and launched a halfcourt shot that would won the game, but it rimmed out, handing KC a 66-64 conference loss.

KC didn't help itself by missing five free throws in the final minute of regulation. (16-of-27 for the game).

The Lady Jaguars were led by Florence Sifa with 17 points.  JC's Allyson Hinds and Ines Nezerwa with 15 points each.

KC was led in scoring by Jade Thurmon with 18 points.  Meador was also in double figures with 13 points (8 rebounds).

With the loss, KC drops to 14-9 overall and 8-6 overall.

The Lady Rangers' next game is 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, in Tyler vs. TJC.
