Heather Prince named Coca-Cola Gold Scholar

Kilgore College President Dr. Bill Holda is proud to announce that Heather Prince, KC sophomore, has been named as a Coca-Cola Gold Scholar.  Prince was selected based on scores earned in the All-USA Community College Academic Team competition, of which more than 1,700 applications were received.

She is an education major from Hallsville and is also a Rangerette.

The program is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and is administered by Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society.

Prince will receive a $1,500 scholarship and will also be honored April 24-26 in Orlando, Fla., at the annual PTK national convention.

Throughout the spring, 38 states host All-State Academic Team Recognition ceremonies where Coca-Cola Gold Scholars are recognized.

Funding for the scholarship is provided by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and the program is sponsored by Coca-Cola and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

PTK is sponsored at KC by Paul Buchanan, geology instructor, and Michele Daniels, speech instructor.
