Five KC football players named NJCAA All Americans

Five Kilgore College football players earned All-American status by the National Junior College Athletic Association for the 2019 season.

Defensive lineman Sedrick Williams – who was also named the Southwest Junior College Football Conference's MVP – was named a defensive First Team All-American, along with Steven Hubbard who was named an offensive First Team All-American.

Second Team All-American selections were Omar Manning (sophomore wide receiver from Lancaster) and Kelton Moss (sophomore defensive lineman from Jonesboro, La.)

Sidney Walker, an offensive lineman from Crestview, Fla., was named Honorable Mention All-American.

Although their names won't show up in most statistics, Walker and Hubbard were leaders on KC's offensive line that helped KC average 485.2 total yards, 232.9 rushing yards and 35 points per game.

Williams, from Houma, La., had 48 tackles, seven sacks, seven tackles for loss, two blocked kicks and three pass breakups.

Moss recorded 59 tackles, nine tackles for loss, five sacks and three forced fumbles.

Manning caught 35 passes for 727 yards with six receptions for touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.

Thirteen players were selected to the All-American Team from the SWJCFC.

KC finished the season at 8-2 and won the regular season conference championship.
