First place Trinity Valley defeats Rangers, 68-60

The KC men faced a potent TVCC offense that made 61 percent of its shots (26-of-43) and featured talented Cardinal guard Dedrick Basile who scored 21 points for the Cardinals in a 68-60 TVCC conference win.

The Rangers tied the game up seven times, but just couldn't get a sizeable lead on a physical Cardinal team.

Kilgore's Shaq Keith had a season-high 17 points to lead all KC scorers and had 6 assists, mostly with impressive passes to players inside the paint.

KC only had one other player in double figures with Jaleel Wheeler scoring 11 points.  Bakari Copeland was once again a rebound machine with 11 boards.

Two other players were in double figures for the Cardinals with Jhaustin Thomas scoring 15 and Sheldon Hagigal with 13 points.

With the loss, the KC men drop to 16-8 overall and 8-6 in Region XIV play.  First place Trinity Valley improves to 22-3 overall and 12-2 in Region XIV play.
