Dockter, Ahart sign to play at four-year schools

Two Kilgore College student athletes have signed letters of intent to continue their academic and softball careers at four-year schools.

Kendyl Dockter (of Rowlett) has signed with Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark.; and Kelsey Ahart (of Angleton) has signed to play at McMurry University in Abilene.

Dockter and Ahart were instrumental in helping the Rangers advance to postseason play in 2019 for the second time in the program's history.

Playing 30 games last season for KC at third base, Dockter batted .400 with 8 home runs and 33 RBI before suffering a season-ending injury half-way through conference play.

Ahart batted .294 in 49 games played with 9 home runs and 22 RBI.
