Bossier Parish slips past Lady Rangers, 71-67

BOSSIER PARISH, LA --  The Lady Rangers once again struggled to make shots in a conference loss, 71-67, on the road Jan. 13 to the Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers.

The game had 13 ties and seven lead changes, but the Lady Cavs, led by Mikalya Barber with 18 points, slipped past the Lady Rangers to take the victory.

Kilgore shot 33 percent from the field.  Bossier Parish wasn't much better, shooting 38 percent, but KC's missed free throws (13-of-25) were a big factor in the KC loss.

KC was led in scoring by Lauren Carroll and Lyrik Williams with 18 points each.  Dominique Thomas was also in double-figures for KC with 14 points.

With the loss, KC drops to 10-7 overall and 4-4 in Region XIV play.

Kilgore's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at home versus Trinity Valley Community College.
