Blinn ends Lady Rangers' season with 91-66 win

LUFKIN, TX -- The Lady Rangers went cold in the second half while the Blinn College Buccaneers got hot, defeating KC 91-66, ending the Lady Rangers' season in the first round of the Region XIV Tournament at Angelina College March 3.

The Lady Rangers were only down by four points at the half, 38-34, but KC only shot 31 percent in the second half (13-of-42).

KC was led in scoring by Lyrik Williams who earned a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Dominique Thomas and Adrianna Edwards also scored in double figures with 11 and 15 points, respectively.

Blinn's Jeliah Preston led all scorers with 22 points.

The Lady Rangers end their season with a record of 16-15 under first-year head coach Anna Nimz.
