Distance Learning (AEL)

What is Distance Learning offered through the AEL program?

The KC Adult Education and Literacy program is now offering online TxCHSE preparation classes specially created for busy adults who need flexible schedules.  Distance learning classes are ideal for full-time workers, stay-at-home parents, caregivers or students with medical restrictions.  Anyone can register for the classes, however.

Mental Health Resources in the Community

Kilgore College has licensed professional counselors available in the Devall Student Center (Kilgore campus), and the KC-Longview Hendrix building (Longview campus). These individuals are available for students needing brief, solution-focused counseling.


Mental Health Resources for students residing in Bowie, Cass, Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Panola, Red River, Rusk and Upshur counties may be accessed by contacting:

Business Management

About the program:

The Business Management Program prepares students for leadership roles in all types of organizations.  Students will learn the overall aspects of management, from finance, law, accounting, marketing, and supervision.

Accounting

About the program:

The business department offers a 30-Hour Certificate, a 37-Hour Certificate and an Associate's of Applied Science degree in Accounting.

These programs are designed for students who feel that they will not have the opportunity to pursue a traditional bachelor's degree at a university. These programs emphasize technical training in the field of accounting. Some of the coursework in these programs is not intended for transfer to a four year school.
