Pharmacy Technology

The Pharmacy Technician program at KC provides students flexible, affordable classes to earn a certificate yielding job possibilities in drug stores, doctors’ offices and grocery store pharmacies.  According to U.S. Department of Labor statistics, “Employment of pharmacy technicians is projected to grow 12 percent from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations. Increased demand for prescription medications will lead to more demand for pharmaceutical services.”

Online Basic Structure Fire Suppression

The online academy consists of four months of online coursework followed by 10 days of onsite skills training in Kilgore.

Tuition and Fees:

  • $1,150 (In-state) with a $50 curriculum access fee for a total of $1,200
  • $1,700 (Out-of-state) with a $50 curriculum access fee for a total of $1,750
  • $1,715 USD (Out-of-country) with a $50 curriculum access fee for a total of $1,765

Barber Program

Begin a career as a Barber by taking classes at Kilgore College-Longview. Barber instruction will qualify you to take the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) examination. Upon successful completion of the exam, you will be a licensed Class “A” Barber.

Title III

Kilgore College was selected to receive a U.S. Department of Education 2017 Part F Title III Strengthening Institutions grant worth $2,998,352 over a five-year cycle.

KC was one of only two two-year colleges to receive a Part F grant and the only Texas college to be awarded a grant from either of the two Title III programs.

Only seven colleges nationwide received the Title III grant out of 103 institutions that applied.

KC Music Academy

Group Piano Classes

The Kilgore College Music Academy prepares students in the art of music. Group Piano Classes are offered for students ages 7-18 years old. Students will learn piano and other musical concepts in an interactive group environment. The class will focus on basic musical concepts, piano orientation, basic finger techniques, rhythm, note reading and overall enjoyment of music with piano playing!

Photography Basics

16 hours, 5 weeks, $80

Learn the basics using 35mm camera or digital camera functions, types of lenses, flash photography, camera care; utilize camera techniques and correct camera settings, lighting, composition, image and outline printing procedures and print presentation. Textbook information given at registration. Supplies: Manual 35 MM camera or digital cameras.
