Who are the Ambassadors?

One of the most prestigious student organizations representing Kilgore College is the Ranger Ambassadors.  This esteemed group consists of student leaders from varied backgrounds and academic disciplines. Coordinated by the Office of Admissions and Registrar, Ambassadors assist the recruitment of prospective students.

Ranger Ambassadors are knowledgeable of the admissions process as well as the basic functions and policies of the various Student Development Offices. Opportunities for leadership includes helping with special events, routine high school visits, campus tours and community service.   Our Ranger Ambassadors are the rising stars of KC and represent the college at its best.

Mission Statement

The Ranger Ambassador program is designed to give students of Kilgore College the opportunity to serve in the recruitment process of prospective student. Through the Ranger Ambassador program, Kilgore College students benefit by enhancing communication skills through speaking to various students, parents, and educators within the community. Ranger Ambassadors contribute a new dimension to the recruiting process by adding creative and innovative ideas to attract future students to Kilgore College.  The service of the Ranger Ambassadors for Kilgore College benefits the students involved by providing them with a lifetime of useful leadership skills.

Duties of Ambassadors
  • Promote college enrollment throughout the local schools
  • Attend mandatory training and weekly meetings
  • Work 4 hours a week at Visitor Center Desk
  • Assist with on and off campus events (college fairs, regional luncheon, high school visits, prospective student tours, Preview Day)
  • Participate in Ranger Preview Day
  • Provide one-on-one communications by phone calls and tours to prospective students and speaking to students during special events
  • Exhibit enthusiasm, energy, sincerity and knowledge of Kilgore College
  • Ability to think quick on your feet and always be prepared
  • Reliable, dedicated, friendly and outgoing
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
