Chorale

The Kilgore College Chorale is the principal choral ensemble at KC and is open to both music majors and non-music majors who, by audition, can demonstrate the ability to sing in tune and make a contribution to a college-level chorus.  The KC Chorale offers its singers the opportunity to rehearse and perform artistic choral literature of different styles and historical periods, both sacred and secular, composed for the medium-sized mixed chorus.  It is designed to provide the background, training and experience needed for students wishing to continue to sing at the university level.  Singers are enabled to grow in the technical skills necessary for quality vocal and choral music performance and are led to encounter the rich aesthetic and emotional experience which the arts can express.  Concerts are held in Van Cliburn Auditorium in the Anne Dean Turk Fine Arts Building on the Kilgore campus as well as area churches, often accompanied by orchestra.
