(SRGT 1040: Classroom 80 hours, Clinicals 20 hours)

Class dates: Sept. 5 to Nov. 9, 2023 (Lecture: Tuesdays/Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m. & Clinicals: Tuesdays/Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

NOTE: There is a selection process for admission into this program.

This course will prepare for entry into a healthcare career as a Sterile Processing Technician, which will teach you the techniques, procedures and safety precautions of decontamination and sterilization of medical and surgical equipment/instruments as well as the distribution of supplies and equipment. After completion of this course students will be ready to sit for the certification exam with Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Certification Examination (CBSPD) to begin a career in hospitals and surgery centers.
