Architecture - University Transfer

Architecture is undoubtedly a fascinating field of study, as it involves creating and crafting big buildings that serve as symbols of society’s development and progress over time. An architect undertakes the crucial responsibility of designing and engineering these grand structures to cater to a wide range of practical, artistic, and technical requirements. By melding imagination, technical proficiency, and innovative thinking, architects have the power and opportunity to transform the built environment into something that can inspire generations to come.

Art - University Transfer

Kilgore College offers general education, art and design courses necessary to apply to a university program in the arts. The Visual Arts Department of Kilgore College provides a comprehensive range of foundation courses. These courses are a combination of studio and lecture. The art major gains complete instruction in art foundations as outlined by the Coordinating Board’s Transfer Curriculum in the Visual Arts.

Dance - University Transfer

The Dance Department at Kilgore College offers an intensive curriculum in ballet, modern dance, tap and jazz for the beginning student as well as those who have had more extensive dance experience.  Dance at KC prepares students who wish to enter the professional world upon graduation as well as those who want to continue their studies at a four-year college as majors in Fine Arts, Physical Education or Dance Education.

The Department of Humanities and Social/Behavioral Sciences, at Kilgore College, offers courses in government that are necessary to complete the Core Curriculum requirements for an Associate’s Degree, or transfer to an upper division university to acquire a baccalaureate degree. These courses are guaranteed to transfer to any public college or university in Texas. They also transfer to most private schools. In addition, these courses also serve as an exciting introduction to a field of study in government.

Performances are held in the newly renovated Van Cliburn Auditorium.
