About the program:
Kilgore College's two choral ensembles offer singers excellent experiences in the choral art.
- The Kilgore College Chorale is the premiere ensemble at KC and is open to music majors as well as non-majors who demonstrate by audition the ability to sing in a college-level choral choir.  The Chorale performs several times per semester, including as part of local and regional tours. Students can expect to perform in varying styles ranging from Renaissance motets to contemporary chorale music including gospel and vocal jazz. It is designed to provide the background, training and experience needed for students wishing to continue to sing at the university level. Singers are enabled to grow in the technical skills necessary for quality vocal and choral music performance and are led to encounter the rich aesthetic and emotional experience which the arts can express. Concerts are held in Van Cliburn Auditorium in the Anne Dean Turk Fine Arts Building on the Kilgore campus as well as area churches. Chorale is directed by Lauren Clark.
- KC Connection is a highly select group of singers who perform a wide variety of music for small ensemble, specializing in popular, jazz and musical theatre genres. Members of this ensemble have advanced sight-singing skills and strong musicianship. KC Connection performs three-to-four times a semester and regularly appears on tour at area high schools.
Please consult the online Music Department Calendar to learn of future concert dates and locations.
