Music and Dance Department

Music Education. Music Performance.

About the program:

Kilgore College offers an Associate of Arts degree with a Field of Study in Music. Students may pursue either an associate degree focusing on music or may take elective music lessons without pursuing a music-related degree. Music studies at Kilgore College offer students the opportunity to receive individual instruction in all major performance areas and to be involved in a variety of ensembles. Music students at Kilgore College are afforded numerous performance opportunities, many of which would be often reserved for third and fourth-year students at larger four-year institutions.

Dedicated to student success:

With a faculty dedicated to each student's individual progress and success, small class sizes and a friendly atmosphere, Kilgore College is an ideal place at which to study music. An integral part of Kilgore College, the Department of Music and Dance contributes to the institution's mission of providing a comprehensive learning environment and of providing leadership in cultural endeavors. In a caring and nurturing environment, the department provides learning-centered instruction, inspires students to develop their creativity and artistry, and reaches out to the community by providing a multitude of cultural opportunities. Make your time at Kilgore College a time to learn and heighten your skills, to make new friends, and to experience the joy of music.
