Certificate Programs

Business Leadership Skills Certificate - 96 clock-hours

The Business Leadership Skills Certificate program is a series of nine courses that will help you develop your employee’s leadership and management skills.  Each course is 12 clock-hours and is very reasonably priced. The entire program is designed to be completed in just one semester. Participants who complete this certificate will receive a “Marketable Skills Achievement Award” in addition to individual course certificates.  

Courses include Leadership Skills for Managers and Supervisors; Communication Skills for Managers and Supervisors; Professional Business Speaking Skills; Performance Management Skills; Performance Management Skills; Team Building in the Workplace; Quality Customer Service; Workplace Critical Thinking and Problem Solving; and Workplace Issues for Managers and Supervisors.

*Individuals who successfully complete this certificate will receive a Marketable Skills Achievement Award.

Industrial Electrical Maintenance Certificate - 356 clock-hours

The Industrial Electrical Maintenance Certificate is a series of ten courses (and three prerequisite courses) that will train your employees as electrical maintenance techs.   Individuals who successfully complete this certificate will receive a Marketable Skills Achievement Award in addition to individual course certificates.  
 

Courses include: Industrial Electricity - 36 hours; Electrical Controls - 24 hours; Electric Motors - 48 hours; Industrial Writing - 64 hours; National Electric Code (NEC) - 16 hours; Electro-Hydraulics - 24 hours; Programmable Logic Controllers - 24 hours; Electrical Power Distribution - 48 hours; Industrial Automation or Instrumentation and Control - 48 hours; and Troubleshooting Electrical Systems - 24 hours;

Prerequisites, which may be taken concurrently with regular courses, include Electrical Blueprint Reading - 32 hours; Electrical Calculations - 32 hours; and Hydraulics School - 16 hours.


*Individuals who successfully complete this certificate will receive a Marketable Skills Achievement Award.


Industrial Maintenance Certificate – 356 clock-hours

The Industrial Maintenance Certificate is a series of seven courses (and two prerequisite courses) that will train your employees as Industrial Maintenance techs. Individuals who successfully complete this certificate will receive a Marketable Skills Achievement Award in addition to individual course certificates.  
 
Courses include Industrial Maintenance Principles - 48 hours; Hydraulics and Pneumatics - 48 hours; Industrial Electricity - 36 hours; Industrial Equipment Maintenance - 48 hours; Rigging and Conveying Systems - 32 hours; Machining Principles - 48 hours; Maintenance Welding or HVAC Maintenance Skills - 32 hours.

Prerequisites, which may be taken concurrently with regular courses, include Printreading for Industry - 24 hours; and Shop Math - 24 hours.

*Individuals who successfully complete this certificate will receive a Marketable Skills Achievement Award.

Commercial Driving


Kilgore College trains individuals who are new to the field of commercial driving and to enhance/reinforce skills for more experienced drivers. Courses are offered at a veriety of times, including day, evening and weekend programs. For more information click here.




Command Spanish®


Command Spanish is Spanish in a hurry and with a purpose!  Courses are designed for specific industries, such as “Spanish for Automotive Sales and Service,” Spanish for School Personnel” and “Spanish for Construction Sites.”  We have courses for almost any profession and industry.  

The courses are designed to enhance workers' job performance, decrease or remove communication barriers, provide cost-effective instruction and provide better service to persons in the Hispanic community.


Early Childhood Associate


Kilgore college is a TEA Continuing Professional Education Provider for Child Development Associate I, II, and III.






Home Health Care

Kilgore offers programs for those who care for Alzheimer's patients and the elderly, stroke victims or others requiring home-based attention.






Human Resources

In partnership with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), Kilgore offers certificate exam preparation courses for HR professionals.








Professional Skills Courses

We  offer a wide variety of customized courses offered on-site or on-campus, including the following health and medical-related courses, industrial skills, machine and metal trades, production and operations management and more.  We can design a specific curriculum and find highly qualified instructors for your unique training needs.
