Q) I am a new student to Kilgore College, what do I do?
A) To enroll at Kilgore College, we need a completed admissions application, your high school transcript or GED, and test scores. If you are transferring from another college we need your college transcripts. (H.S. transcript not needed). The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requires that all students seeking to enroll in college-level courses be assessed in the basic skill areas of reading, writing, and mathematics prior to enrolling in college-level courses related to the area(s) of the test they pass and will be required to enroll in developmental education in areas that are not passed. Exemptions from testing do not override course or program prerequisites; therefore , placement testing may be required. For more information, contact the Testing Center located on the Kilgore Campus at (903) 983-8215 or KC—Longview at (903) 753-2642. Application for Admission (located under the "New & Transfer Students" navigational tab), complete it on-line, For International students print it and fax it to the Admissions Office at (903) 988-7531 or you may pick up an application packet at either the KC—Longview or Kilgore campus. First-time college students must register in person after their admission file is complete (Can register first time without transcript). Transfer students who have submitted documentation of test scores or exemption from testing and have no developmental requirements may Web register.

NOTE: Transcripts should be on file prior to first-time enrollment, but all required transcripts must be received before the next registration period or enrollment will be blocked. Transcripts should be sent from institution to institution. Hand-carried transcripts may not be considered official.
