Welcome to Admissions!
Early Admission Students
A student who has completed the sophomore year of high school may apply for admission to KC and take
college courses while completing high school. The student must have
demonstrated an ability to accept considerable academic responsibility
and the maturity to handle college work. In addition to meeting or exceeding
the general admission requirements,
the student must meet minimum test score requirements and have approval from a parent/guardian and the high school.
The college encourages the student to consult
the Constitution and Contest Rules of the University Interscholastic
League (UIL) concerning eligibility for course work beyond high school
level in subject areas in which the student may participate in UIL.
Under UIL rules, taking college courses in a field of study in which
the student may compete in UIL may disqualify a student from competition.
After high school graduation, the student must submit a transcript showing
the date of graduation.
College credit earned under the Early Admissions
Program will not be valid unless the college receives the transcript.
