During this time, he has had the opportunity to broadcast many of the recent success stories in Ranger history. The list includes eight Region XIV basketball tournaments, one Region XIV men’s regular season championship, four NJCAA bowl games, three SWJCFC conference championships and the undefeated season of 2001. While in East Texas, Almanza has had other sports casting opportunities come his way including high school basketball, baseball and softball playoff games for various schools. Additionally, he begins his eighth season of broadcasting high school football in East Texas, and his third as the Internet play-by-play voice for Spring Hill High School in Longview.
