Course Information

1st Step—Get Started

• Obtain a criminal history background check $35 at: www.certifiedbackground.com
• Choose the “Students” option and enter the College package code IL30.
• Allow 1-3 days for results to be available. Print your results and bring to KC—Longview to register for the next available class.

2nd Step—Registration

• Tuition: $129 (due at sign up)
• Insurance: $15 (due at sign up)
• Books: $40 (approximately)
• Uniform: $15—$50 (explained 1 st class)
• Nametag: $10 (approximately)

 

3rd Step—Attendance

• Day Classes — 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday (Clinicals begin @ 6:45 a.m).
• Evening Classes— 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday (Clinicals @4pm).

4th Step—Certification

• Successful completers eligible to register and pay for the state certification exam at Kilgore College—Longview.
• Fee $93 (cash, credit card, money order, cashier’s check only).
• Photo ID and Social Security Card required to register.
• Testing with KC—Longview is limited to no longer than one year post completion date

• November 5 to December 11, 2012

General Information

Classes scheduled on a regular basis. Space is limited. We encourage applicants to sign up early.

Minimum age is 16-years-old. Bring the required textbook and syllabus to class the first day. In order to remain in the program, student must be present every day and pass each exam. Failure to meet attendance and grade requirements result in student being withdrawn from classes. There are no exceptions!

Refund Information

• 100% Refund if withdrawn prior to 1 st class day (minus $15 matriculation fee)
• 70% Refund if withdrawn by the end of the 2 nd day of class
