Voitot named NJCAA Academic All American, signs to play in New York
Kilgore College sophomore basketball player Camille Voitot was recently named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Academic All American. Voitot, from Bourg-en-Bresse, France, was named to the Distinguished Academic All American team in a press release from the NJCAA July 1. Voitot, who completed her sophomore year in 2010 with a 3.95 Grade Point Average, played in the 25 of the 26 Lady Rangers’ games her sophomore season, averaging 36 percent from behind the three point line. Voitot has signed a college athletic scholarship to play next season for the Baruch College Bearcats in New York, N.Y. The Bearcats play in the NCAA’s Division III City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC). The CUNYAC is an intercollegiate athletic conference comprising of institutions all located in New York City – all campuses of the City University of New York. Voitot plans to study psychology at Baruch College, which is ranked in the top 50 colleges in the country by the Princeton Review.
