A summer day camp for talented students entering 8th or 9th grades.
8:30 to 1 p.m. Monday to Thursday
June 9-12, 2008
Engineering and Science Building
Kilgore College
You’re invited to join us for a unique summer experience: KCSI.
Using Chemistry and Biology lab forensic techniques you will solve a “crime.” You’ll learn how to take DNA samples and do analysis, study fingerprints, do pen and ink analysis, hair and fiber testing and more. You’ll learn actual case histories from a law enforcement officer. Each camper will be working to find the solution. Prizes will be awarded daily and a grand prizewinner announced at the end of the camp.
Plus, it’s not all brainpower. We’ll have fun activities and snacks every day. Each participant will get a free T-shirt and there will be a pizza party at the end of the week.
However, you need to register soon! We are limited to a max of only 40 participants so sign up today.
This program is for talented students entering the 8th or 9th grades. To be considered for the camp you must get a referral from your science teacher and turn it in, along with your application and $50.
Your application, referral form and other essential paperwork are available for download below.
KCSI is a joint project of the Chemistry and Biology departments at KC and is sponsored by the Ana-Lab Corporation.
