Welcome to the KC Rahs page!

The KC Rahs, Kilgore College’s cheerleading squad, bring energy and enthusiasm to KC games and also successfully compete at the intercollegiate level. They recently pulled down 3rd place among all junior colleges at nationals. You are invited to apply to be a KC Rah. The eligibility requirements are listed below, along with scholarship and other information. To find out more call our Cheerleading sponsor or complete the request information form. Application & Eligibility Requirements for Kilgore College Cheerleaders I. High School Seniors

• Must be a graduating senior spring semester of application and have an overall C average or better Must have three letters of recommendation from high school currently attending
• Must submit transcript

II. College Freshmen

• Must be a full-time student at a college (enrolled for 12 hours) and have a C average (2.00 GPA) or better at time of application Must have letters of recommendation from three of your College instructors
• Must submit transcript if not currently attending Kilgore College

Scholarships

Kilgore College Cheerleaders are provided partial scholarships by the college. For further information, contact the Cheer Director.

The college also provides:

• Uniforms Housing One credit hour of kinesiology each semester
• Financial Aid and campus employment may be available if requirements are met

Standards for Ranger Cheerleaders

A Kilgore College Ranger Cheerleader must abide by the following standards:

• Pass 12 semester hours with a 2.00 GPA each semester Provide proof of insurance or enroll in a student insurance program at Kilgore College Display conduct in accordance with generally accepted standards of good behavior and good taste as prescribed by Kilgore College Attend all practices unless excused by Director Attend all athletic events unless excused by Director
• Fulfill all cheerleader duties in a responsible manner

Note: Failure to abide by these standards may result in dismissal or disciplinary action.

Cheerleading at Kilgore College

Ranger Cheerleaders. . .

• Cheer at all Kilgore College football and basketball games. Encourage student participation at athletic events Participate in regional and national competitions Promote Kilgore College
• Participate in fundraising activities for Kilgore College Cheer programs

Stunter	Tumbler
Girls	Girls
Be able to execute toss, full up and rewind stunts.	Running round-off back handspring full.
Body positions needed: arabesque, scorpion, scale, stretch, and awesome.	An alternate pass.
Be able to double down for all positions.	Twisting basket toss.
Standing back tuck, all jumps, dance, and good motion technique.	Standing back handspring to a full or standing back handspring series to a full.
Standing back tuck, all jumps, dance, and good motion technique.
Boys	Boys
Be able to execute toss, full up, and rewind stunts.	Running round-off back handspring full.
Be able to double down for all positions.	Alternate pass.
Standing back tuck, all jumps, and good motion technique.	Standing back handspring to a full or standing back handspring series to a full.
Standing back tuck, all jumps, and good motion technique.

All stunting and tumbling skills are to be executed with a high degree of perfection.
