At the “Welcome to Kilgore” sign on HWY 135.

Parking:
Transit transportation will be provided from the Grace Baptist Church on Pea Vine Rd.

Activities starting at 11:00 AM (not necessarily in this order).

  • Mr. James Holder– Play and sing
  • Mr. Charlie Woolridge – Sing his original song, “Black Gold”.
  • Mrs. Carole Strayhorn, Texas Controller – Speaker
  • Rep Ralph Hall, Member, US House of Representatives – Speaker
  • Noon – Lunch will be served on the grounds under tentage.

City Commissioner, 1975 – 1981
Mayor, 1981 – 1987
MajorAccomplishments:

  • FoundingPresident ofKHPF
  • Started the Memorial Derrick program
  • The Sesquicentennial Plaza

County Judge, 1995 – 2002

  • Lowered Taxes
