The Kilgore College Journalism/ Communications Program

Offers the education requirements necessary to complete an Associate Degree or apply to a university offering a degree in Communications and the related fields of Advertising/Public Relations, Journalism/Mass Communication, and Radio & Television Broadcasting/ Broadcast Journalism.

The program faculty includes highly recognized Piper Professors:

The Flare
Kilgore College's award-winning student-produced weekly campus newspaper, consistently wins top honors in competitions such as those of the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association, the Texas Community College Journalism Association, the Texas Associated Press Managing Editors, and Columbia Scholastic Press Association. Flare students have won more than 1,000 individual awards for their writing, designs and photographs.
