The Grants Writer, reporting to the Director of Development, is a part of the College’s Institutional Advancement team that includes development, alumni relations, and grants. |

| RESPONSIBILITIES |
|
This position is primarily responsible for developing a coordinated and systematic approach to identifying appropriate grant and foundation revenue sources; informing specific departments on campus of identified grant opportunities; assisting departments in preparing and submitting grant applications; and collaborating with existing grant programs on campus to ensure each efficiently and effectively supports the ongoing mission of the institution. In addition, the individual selected for this position will carry out various other duties in support of the college’s development activities, as assigned by the Director of Development. |

| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
|
A bachelor’s degree is required, master’s preferred. The successful applicant will have a minimum of two years work experience in and a thorough working knowledge of grant writing and/or grant related programs. Experience in writing federal grants and a work history in an educational setting is preferred. All applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; be able to work efficiently and effectively under a variety of deadlines; and have outstanding computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet and data base applications. Excellent time management skills and attention to detail and accuracy are musts. Additionally, the ability to interact confidentially and cordially with diverse faculty and staff groups is essential. |

| SALARY RANGE & FRINGE BENEFITS |
|
The twelve month salary range is $36,080 - $38,335. Health, life, and income protection insurance are provided. An excellent retirement program through either the Teacher Retirement System or Optional Retirement Program and generous paid leave time are also furnished. In addition, full time employees have free use of the college’s recreational/fitness facilities in Kilgore and tuition scholarships are available for the employee and dependent children. Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program. As a result, employees/ retirees of the college are subject to the federal Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and possibly the Government Pension Offset (GPO) laws. The Kilgore College Police Department (KCPD) office, located in the Devall Student Center, provides a full range of public safety and student service functions. |

| RESPONSIBILITIES |
|
The Part-time Clerk works at the front counter of the KCPD greeting the public, providing information, and answering the phones. Other duties include, but are not limited to, accepting and processing vehicle registration cards; making staff and student identification cards; receiving calls for assistance and dispatching help; and assisting other areas in the office as needed.
Hours are 8:00 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday with extended hours during peak times such as registration and beginning of the semester.

One year of professional office experience required, customer service experience preferred. All applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to provide exceptional customer service. |

This position will join our friendly and energetic Student Services division which consists of Counseling and Advisement, Financial Aid, Registrar’s Office, as well as Testing. The Evening Proctor will report directly to the Testing Center Manager located on the main campus in Kilgore. |

| RESPONSIBILITIES |
|
The Evening Proctor will work Monday through Thursday from 3-8pm and will be responsible for monitoring students taking distance education course exams and some placement exams. In addition, this position will be responsible for providing testing information to students and assisting them in scheduling testing appointments in the absence of other office staff. |

| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
|
Applicants must possess a minimum of 60 college credit hours, have good organization skills, and must be detail oriented. Additionally, the successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cordial, professional manner with diverse population groups and have the necessary sensitivity to ensure student privacy as well as test security. Previous experience with computers and Microsoft software necessary. |

| RESPONSIBILITIES |
|
The Part-time Clerk in the Registrar's Office works at the front counter greeting the public, providing information and answering the phones. Other duties include, but are not limited to, downloading on-line applications for admissions and entering basic demographic data; processing and tracking transcript requests; monitoring student workers, completing enrollment verifications; and assisting other areas in the office as needed.
Typically, work hours are 7:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday with additional hours required at registration and end of semester.

| RESPONSIBILITIES |
|
The Educational Assistant reports to the Director of Adult Education. The duties include, but are not limited to, the following: providing individual tutoring; facilitating small group instruction under the direction of the teacher; proctoring and scoring tests; counseling students on attendance, resources and goal attainment strategies; assisting in maintenance of student portfolios and attendance records; compiling various reports under the direction of the teacher; and entering program data into the TEA adult education data base and managing hard copy of data files.
There are two positions available -- one will work approximately 20 hours per week, M - F 8:00AM to noon. The other is an evening position scheduled for up to 20 hours per week. |

| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
|
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to use computer software applications including keyboarding, word processing, and spreadsheets. Additionally, applicants must organized and through, able to work with little supervision, and have the ability to deal professionally and courteously with a diverse student, staff, and faculty. |

|
Salary for this part time position is $7.25 per hour. Workers compensation, membership to the college’s fitness center, and a limited retirement plan are provided. This position is grant-funded; continued employment is dependent upon acceptable performance and receipt of adequate grant monies. |

This part-time position (15 hrs per week) will tutor current Kilgore College students to include traditional, dual credit, and tech-prep students. |

| RESPONSIBILITIES |
|
The ideal candidate will assist students succeed in school in various disciplines, including Math, English, Chemistry, Spanish, Speech, Computer Science, etc: subject review and practice, managing study time, preparing for exams, taking notes, and other tutorial activities. Practice the ethical standards of helping, which includes maintaining confidentiality with each student. Make appropriate referrals to faculty or support staff when a student needs services that you are unable to provide. Perform other related duties as assigned. |

| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
|
Applicants must have at least 30 hours of college credit, a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average and knowledge in the subjects to be tutored. Possess the skills necessary to interact professionally and courteously with a diverse student, faculty and support population and the ability to work with little supervision.

Salary is based on experience and ranges from $ 7.00 to $ 10.00 per hour. |
