Most students find employment in area manufacturing facilities such as Texas Eastman, Stemco, Skeeter Boat, Fleetwood Travel Trailers, Trinity Industries, Key Energy, Sabine Mining Co., Lone Star Steel, Kelly Springfield, Crosby/Lebus Manufacturing, Southern Plastics, Swepco, City of Longview, Carrier Air, Olympic Waste Services, Martin Gas, La Tourneau, Halliburton,and many other places within and outside of Texas.

Q. What is the starting salary in this field?
A. Starting salary will depend on experience and geographic location, but will range from $41,000 - $77,000.

Q.What about internships?
A. Internships make this program unique. Each student who enrolls in this program will be provided with the opportunity to complete at least one internship before graduation. In each internship, the student receives three hours college credit while working in an East Texas area industrial/manufacturing facility. This unique program provides actual on-the-job experience combined with academic/technical classroom education.
