Priority will be given to sophomore residents.

Frequently Asked Questions:

When are room and board fees due?
Fall fees are due by the published early registration date, or the assignment will be canceled. Spring or summer fees are due before you move into the the residence hall. Housing cost must be either paid in full of placed on an installment plan through FACTS.

Do I have to purchase a meal plan?
Yes, anyone residing on campus is required to purchase a meal plan.

What electrical appliances am I allowed to put in my room?
There are certain types of electrical appliances that are a danger in the residence halls. Electrical appliances with an exposed heating element are prohibited. Appliances such as microwave, dorm-size refridgerator, radio, stereo, desk lamp, computer, and television are permitted provided the total power requirements do not overload the room's electrical system.

What is the alcohol and smoking policy?
Kilgore College is an alcohol-free campus. No alcohol is permitted within the residence halls or on campus. All of our residence halls are smoke-free.

What if I do not have a chosen roommate?
Make sure you fill out the application entirely and we will pair you with a roommate that shares similar interests.

Are pets allowed in the residence halls?
No pets are allowed other than fish. Aquariums must be 20 gallons or less.

How many credit hours do I have to enroll for to live on campus ?
You must enroll and remain enrolled through the 20th class day for 15 semester hours and maintain a minimum of 12 semester hours to continue to live in the dorms.

Is there a grade point (GPA) requirement to live on campus?
Yes, you must achieve a 1.75 GPA to maintain residence in the dorms.
