Small group discussions and selected readings on keys to success in studying engineering, the engineering professions, requirements, responsibilities, ethics, employment opportunities, and other related subjects. Team building exercises and an introduction to engineering problem solving skills. F, Sp (1401015110).

ENGR 1102. Introduction to Engineering II.
An introduction to the use of computer software tools to analyze and solve simple
engineering problems. Prerequisite: MATH 1316. F, Sp (1401015110).

ENGR 2105. Electric Circuits I Laboratory.
Experiments related to theory covered in ENGR 2305. Acquaints students with electrical instruments and demonstrates basic network laws. Computer aided circuit analysis tools such as (P-Spice) are used. Corequisite: ENGR 2305. Laboratory fee $25.
Offered as needed (1410015110).

ENGR 2301. Statics.
An introduction to rigid body static's. A study is made of forces, free body diagrams, equilibrium, force systems, structures, trusses, frames and machines, beams, centroids, virtual work, friction, and moments of inertia. Corequisites: MATH 2413 and PHYS 2425. F, Sp (1411015210).

ENGR 2302. Dynamics.
A study of kinematics and kinetics of rigid bodies. A study is made of work-energy, impulse-momentum, friction, rectilinear and angular motion, inertial properties, absolute and relative motion, and moments of inertia. Prerequisites: ENGR 2301. Sp (1411015310).

ENGR 2405. Electric Circuits I.
A study of linear circuits. Ohm's law, and Kirchoff's laws, nodal and mesh analysis, Thevenin's and Norton's theorems, energy storage in inductors and capacitors; natural and step response of simple RC, RL, and RLC circuits; sinusoidal steady state analysis; mutual inductance;and complex power are the major topics discussed. Corequisite: MATH 2414. Offered as needed. (140015110).

Transfer Courses By Major
The courses listed below are of the work required in the field of preparation provided by four-year colleges and universities. These suggested electives are designed for students who plan to transfer. Because senior college requirements vary, students should consult the catalog of the senior college of their choice before selecting electives. The number following the academic field is the major code number.
