Electronic Commerce



The Electronic Commerce program gives the skills necessary to design and develop e-commerce solutions for organizations using the Internet. Individuals have the knowledge to go into entry-level jobs in service areas and the industrial maintenance field.







What do graduates of the program do?

The Kilgore College Electronics Technicians curriculum is designed to meet the needs of industry by providing students with an extensive background in electricity, electronic circuitry, digital systems, communications, telecommunications, lasers, and computer technology. This background enables students to find employment.

What is the job outlook for graduates?

Employment opportunities for electronic commerce technicians are expected to increase much faster that the average for other occupations. An increased demand for service and repair on computers, communications equipment and a multitude of other electronic devices has resulted in a high demand for better-qualified technicians.


W
hat kind of salary can graduates expect?

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national median salary for Electronic Technician is $30,980. Local salaries will vary.

How long does it take to complete the program?


Entry-level electronics technicians require specialized training to qualify for the more skilled positions. Most industries employing electronics technicians require the applicant to have an Associate of Applied Science degree. It takes 45 semester hours to receive a certificate.
