New smoking, ID policies strictly enforced

Kilgore College is strictly enforcing a new student identification policy, as well as a new smoking policy.

STUDENT ID ENFORCEMENT:

The Kilgore College Police Department is now issuing KC Ranger banking cards and a simple badge-style ID card to all students.

Students are required to wear one of the ID’s at all times while on campus.

A uniformed officer will be on foot patrol enforcing these new policies.

Students found without their ID will be issued a day pass and a warning letter will follow.

After the second violation, KCPD citations will be issued. The first citation costs $25.

Students who forget their ID’s can go to various offices across campus to voluntarily obtain a day pass.


NEW SMOKING POLICY:

Smoking is now allowed in designated smoking areas only.

Designated smoking areas are marked with signs throughout campus.
