Accounting and Finance for Non-Financial Managers |
| Course set for 8 a.m. to noon on Oct. 16, 23 in Kilgore |
Kilgore College will offer the course, “Accounting and Finance for Non-Financial Managers,” on Oct. 16 and 23.
The class will meet at the Bert E. Woodruff Adult Education Center in Kilgore from 8 a.m. to noon both days.
The course is structured for managers who are not financial experts but need to know how to develop and use accounting information to support managerial decision-making.
Concepts taught in the class will cross many organizations including the manufacturing and service industries, the self-employed and the non-profit sector.
Topics will include managing internal controls in regard to cost and budgeting. It will also include how to understand profit and loss statements and how to recognize and correct accounting problems. Students will learn to utilize formulas to determine organizational profitability.
Individuals who complete the course will be more knowledgeable about accounting practices and financial analysis.
