Cisco Networking

Kilgore College and the Cisco Corporation have partnered together to offer education in networking technologies.

The program centers on teaching students to design, build, and maintain computer networks. But the significance goes well beyond that. Using Web technologies, the Cisco Networking Academy Program prepares students for the 21st century workplace and simultaneously serves as a valuable model for successful e-learning.

   

What do graduates of the program do?

Students majoring in networking technologies will be preparing themselves to become certified. This type of industry-recognized certification could provide graduates with a wide variety of advancements in the networking field.

What is the job outlook for graduates?

There are over 800,000 job openings for networking specialists right now. There will be over three million job openings for networking specialists in the next six years.

hat kind of salary can graduates
expect locally and nationally?


According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national median salary for Cisco Networking is $4,4270. Local salaries vary.

How long does it take to complete the program?


The four courses are offered in eight-week blocks. In one regular 16-week semester you can complete two Cisco classes. The complete certificate program can be completed in two college semesters.
