The Business Administration Department offers a variety of programs to satisfy the needs of a wide range of students. Programs include the first two years of a four-year transfer program as well as a various certificates and two-year degree programs is up to the student. Students who need help in selecting the appropriate program are encouraged to seek advisement from a business faculty member.
Fields of Study for Business Administration
All of the fields in Business Administration complete the same coursework in the first two years. The completion of this coursework leads to an Associate of Arts degree. The degree falls in the Bachelor of Business Administration degree the four year school of the student's choice. All areas of business receive the B.B.A. degree but focus in the major field selected by the student. Specific requirements vary from university to university. It is imperative that the student be aware of such requirements.
Accounting
The accounting department offers a 30-hr Certificate, a 40-hr Certificate, and an Associates of Applied Science degree. These programs are designed for students who feel that they will not have the opportunity to pursue a traditional bachelor's degree at a university. These programs emphasize technical training in the field of business. Some of the coursework in these programs is not intended for transfer to a four year school. However, several schools offer bachelor of applied arts & science degrees. These degrees allow the occupational student to continue toward a four-year degree.

Associate of Arts
Associate Degree and Transfer. Kilgore College offers a program designed to prepare a student to continue toward a bachelor of business administration with majors in a variety of areas including accounting, finance, marketing, management and management information systems.
