Rangers defeat Lon Morris, play Lee at home Saturday
The Rangers clamped down on defense and pulled away early offensively to win a big road game in Jacksonville by 23 points Saturday against the Lon Morris Bearcats. KC, up 34-16 at the half, never slowed down in the second period, winning 63-40. The Rangers had three players in double figures. Fred Mattison had 16 points, Jalen Washington had 15 and Ashton Khan had 10. With the win, KC sits at 13-7 overall and 5-5 in Region XIV play. Both the men and women will play at home this Saturday, Feb. 4. The Lady Rangers will face Blinn College at 4 p.m., followed by the men who will play Lee College at 6 p.m. in Masters Gymnasium.
