 Classrooms, Studios and Gallery
The Art Department utilizes three classroom spaces, each adjoined by a storage room to house supplies, equipment and artwork examples. A departmental reference library lies between two classrooms and includes computer access to the internet. Bulletin boards in the hallway serve for critique and display of student work. A third classroom space functions as a multipurpose art studio equipped for sculpture, painting, printmaking and three-dimensional design work.
The instructional program in art is reinforced by a formal exhibition space. This art gallery serves an ongoing exhibition program designed to bring original artwork by practicing professionals to campus for student analysis. It also serves as a vehicle to showcase the student class room exhibitions. The gallery exhibitions further provide college and community enrichment.
Presently, the exhibitions are installed on walls in the ground level hallway and foyer of the Anne Dean Turk Fine Arts Center.
