Nursing (RN)


This Nursing Program (ADN) has been providing quality nursing education to this community for many years.  A large percentage of the nurses in practice are graduates of the KC ADN program.

The program is accredited by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners (BON), 333 Guadalupe #3-460, Austin TX, (512) 305-7400 and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc., 61 Broadway, New York, NY, (212) 363-5555 , as well as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.





 

 

 

 

 

 


What do graduates of the program do?

The Kilgore College Associate Degree Nursing Program prepares graduates to take the Texas State Board examination for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).  Graduates of the program are prepared to serve as members of the health care team in acute, chronic and ambulatory settings.

What is the job outlook for graduates?


Outstanding!
Graduates of this program are actively recruited by health care institutions in this area.

hat kind of salary can graduates expect?

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national median salary for Registered Nurse (RN) is $52,330. Local salaries will vary.

How long does it take to complete the program?


16 months including one summer, after admission to the ADN program. The program is 72 semester-hours long.
