HR Specialist Certificate

Classes in human resources can lead to an HR career or can enhance small-business owners’ knowledge of employeemanagement. The HR Specialist Certificate can put job applicants a step ahead of the competition when applying for HR positions. It can also save resources when employers and supervisors know the proper regulatory requirements for managing their workforce. Kilgore College courses are approved by Human Resource Certification Institute to help HR professionals refresh and enhance skills while earning CEUs for PHR and SPHR recertification.

SHRM Learning System® Certificate

HRPO 2030 - Human Resource Certification Test Preparation: Prepare for the Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) exams administered by the Human Resource Certification Institute. This SHRM® Learning System 36-hour course is designed primarily as a certification preparation course for the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) examinations. This course is recommended for individuals who have worked in exempt-level human resource positions for at least two years. SHRM® training materials included. A variety of times and days are available to complete the 36-hour course in time for the annual exam windows of May 1 to June 30 and Dec. 1 to Jan. 31.

SHRM Essentials of HR Management® Certificate

HRPO 1000 - Understanding the Human Resource Function: This Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM®) 18-hour course is considered an entry-level human resource training program. Topics covered include employment law in your workplace, effective recruitment and selection techniques, basics of compensation and benefits, orienting and training your employees, and ensuring quality performance. This course is designed specifically for individuals new to the human resource field or individuals who have some human resource responsibilities in addition to their regular job duties. SHRM® training materials included.
