I have many memories of KC. Special thanks to men like Dean Watson, Bert Woodruff, Claud Owens and Delmer Pliler. I certainly can never forget going into the computer lab on Nov. 22, 1963, and overhearing Delmer Pliler and Bert Woodruff talking and realizing something important had happened. I asked them what was going on, and they told me that John F. Kennedy had just been shot in Dallas. Did not find out till later that he had died. The college closed early that day, shortly after I heard the news.
Name: Donald Vaughn

I was one of the editors for the school newspaper, The Flare. I arranged for myself to be arrested by the Kilgore Police Department so I could write about the experience of spending a night in jail. My vision of a jail cell was based on the jail in the Andy Griffith Show. Guess what? The Kilgore City Jail was no way like it.
Name: Mike Midkiff

Walking back and forth to art classes on the crosswalk. Field trips with Commercial Art class and Mr. Don Churchill, instructor. We once were invited to his ranch in Beckville. He had a barbeque and a bonfire. He was a great teacher.
